Abstract The headline of the broadside declares the exhibition of: "Pictures, Statues, Basso Relievos, and Engraved Stones, of the Gallery of Florence, and the Pitti Palace, Engraved under the Direction of Mr. Lacombe, Painter, from the Drawings of Mr. Wicar; a Work dedicated To His Royal Highness the Grand Duke of Tuscany." Abstract Douglas Huntly Gordon, Jr. was born in Baltimore in 1903. During the 1930s, he served in the Maryland legislature. In 1938, he founded the Mount Vernon Improvement Association and spent much of the rest of his life fighting to retain the original architectural integrity of Baltimore's Mount Vernon Place.
